At Creative Therapy For Kids we integrate narrative therapy, play therapy and other creative therapy methods to ensure that our service delivery is adapted to the developmental level of children and needs of young people. The safe and supportive environment provided can help your child share their story, explore their feelings and behaviours, problem-solve and build self-esteem. Autplay® Therapy
AutPlay® is a therapeutic approach for working with children (aged 3-18) and families affected by autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dysregulation issues or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Influenced by play therapy approaches and behavioural therapy, AutPlay® utilises structured play-based interventions that are both therapist and parent-led to help improve skills deficits related to social functioning, emotional regulation and relational connection.
AutPlay® Therapy has shown effective treatment outcomes in several areas such as; improving Social Skills and Functioning, Improving Relationship Development and Connection, Reducing Anxiety Levels, Improved Sensory Processing Challenges, Increasing concentration, focus and attention, Reducing Unwanted Behaviours and Improving Parent/Child relationship.
1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching
A three-session program designed to teach parents and carers ways to manage their children’s behaviour that also builds their children’s emotional resourcefulness. It encourages a calm approach to parenting, even in those tough moments, and shows parents how to improve their relationship with their children.
Parents will learn:
